I took this picture in the fall at Lake Winnipesaukee. The weather was gorgeous and the company was outstanding. My husband and I were out taking pictures for potential paintings. I knew the minute I took this picture that it would turn into a painting. I practice a lot in watercolor and the picture is such a surprise at the end, because I just don’t know where the water will take the color.
I’m a day late posting this for my husband’s birthday, but I did give him the actual card on his birthday! Bill, I hope you enjoyed your day and that all your wishes come true. I can’t wait to share many more birthdays with you! Love you, Debby

Introducing my newest painting; “Family Ties”! I am so excited to have finished this pastel piece! Originally I started with the opposite colors of what is showing right now. It was a difficult piece for me to do…it took a lot of thinking, but the end result was absolutely gorgeous! The original photo was taken by me at Pawtuckaway State Park. I decided to turn it into a pastel painting. Our kayaks are looking on to what we call “Frisella Island”. We usually dock our kayaks there to eat lunch, have cocktails and pick blueberries. It is an awesome time!

This painting was an inspiration to all the shooting stars I witnessed this past week. I made a lot of wishes and had a lot of fun painting this. I WISH everyone a very “Happy Thanksgiving”, as well as, a shot to “Wish on a shooting star!”
